Linda (Thompson) Short

Linda Short, 73 of Berea, Ohio passed away on January 10, 2018. She was the beloved Mother of Geoffrey (Cynthia) and Jeremy Short and Grandmother of Michael and Bailey Dwyer-Short and Nathaniel, Ethan and Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents Olive and George Thompson. Originally from Southbury, Connecticut, Linda attended Baldwin-Wallace University and served as a reference librarian at the Cuyahoga County Public Library Berea branch for many years. Later she worked as an Area Coordinator of student housing at her beloved B-W where she worked for nearly 20 years. She was an avid performing arts lover, served in the Kiwanis Club and was an ardent promoter of civil rights and equality. She was a proud member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Berea. Calling hours are Wednesday January 17th, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at Baker, Osinski, Kensinger Funeral Home at 206 Front St. in Berea.. Memorial services will be Thursday January 18th, 2018 at 2pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church 50 E. Bagley Rd. Berea, Ohio 44017.  In-lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church to support the church’s efforts to promote arts in the community.
