BOYD HERBERT WARNSMAN, age 78, of Fairview Park, Ohio, died July 27, 2018. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, March 25, 1940, he was the eldest son of the late Beulah (nee Long) and Herbert Warnsman. He graduated in 1958 from Brooklyn (Ohio) High School. He earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1962, Berea, Ohio. He was an active member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. While at B-W, Boyd was on the residence staff and served on the staff of the tennis team. He is a Past President of the BW Alumni Association. A Vietnam-era Air Force 1st Lieutenant, he was Aide-de-Camp to the Commander, Defense Fuel Supply Center, Washington D.C. He earned the MBA degree at Columbia Business School, New York. He held Financial Manager roles in corporate, nonprofit, and government entities, including Harshaw Chemical Company, Great Lakes Theater Festival, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith (nee Capers). They proudly reared four children, who survive: Mark (Anne) and sons, Harlan and Silas, Dale (Monica) and children Emma, Daniel, and Kyle, Karl (Paula) and sons Grant and James, and Sara Roberson (Calvin) and son Wesley. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Virginia) and sister, Vonnie Stemen (John), 1 nephew, three nieces, and 3 great nieces. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Berea, 170 Seminary Street, Berea OH 44017, 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2018, where the family will greet guests at a reception following the service.
