Dianne Jean (Parker) Corey

DIANNE JEAN COREY (nee Parker), age 75, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Beloved wife of Ronald S. Corey; loving mother of Susan Bish (Jim) and Robert Woods (Jeff Allison); grandmother of Madison and James Bish; survived by her sisters, Helaine Burrows (Rayner) and Barbara Benigni (Bill), and dear cousin, Carol Edkins (Steve); along with her step-sons, niece, nephew, cousins, and step-grandchildren. Dianne obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education at Kent State University. She taught for many years, prior to being Children’s Ministries Director at Berea United Methodist Church (of which she was a member most her life), and ending her career as children’s librarian at Rocky River Public Library for 19 years. She enjoyed nature, art, music, and travel – having visited Europe, Canada, Maine, Hawaii, and many other states. But most important in her life were her family, God, friends, and acquaintances; for whom she would do anything. A memorial service will be held SATURDAY APRIL 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Berea 170 Seminary St. Berea.  Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Smile Train.
