JEANETTE F. (DRINKALL) MEYER age 88 beloved wife of the late Albert W.(Jack), dear mother of Janice M. Folsom (Christopher) and Jon A. Meyer (Pamela), sister of the late Roger Drinkall, grandmother of Tyler and Caitlin. Jeanette was a classically trained violinist and violist who loved teaching students (of all ages) for over 60 years. She studied at the Juilliard School of Music and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Reserve University. She was also one of the first four students of Mr. Josef Gingold (former Cleveland Orchestra Concertmaster), became his teaching assistant at the Cleveland Music School Settlement. As Concertmistress of the Parma Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years, she performed many solos and other professional engagements. Jeanette founded the BW Youth Orchestra program in 1976 and taught string pedagogy and violin and viola lessons for the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and BW Outreach Department. Jeanette was a talented musician that was loved by many both in the music world and by her friends and family. Friends may call on FRIDAY DECEMBER 20 from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at the BAKER, OSINSKI, KENSINGER FUNERAL HOME 206 FRONT ST. BEREA where a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. following visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Music Ministry of Our Saviour Lutheran Church 1605 Center Rd.
