William "Bill" Vance Sweet

WILLIAM  “Bill” VANCE  SWEET passed away February 12, 2018, age 74 beloved husband of Jane (nee Spencer), loving father of Rebecca Sweet (Gokhan Saldirdak), Sarah Knudsen (Eric) and Robert Sweet (Laura); dear grandfather of Arman Saldirdak; Otto, Annabelle and step-grandson Soren Knudsen; Olivia and Josephine Sweet. He is also survived by brother-in-law Alfred Spencer (Janet) of Bangor, Maine; nephew Charles Spencer (Debra), Billerica, Massachusetts; niece Lisa Spencer (Michael Oppie) and grand niece Christine Spencer, Berlin, Germany; friend of exchange students Francois Bellanger and Vadim Volkov. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Wilma (nee Bachtel) Sweet and aunt, Marie Bachtel. A graduate of Berea High School, he received his Bachelor of Science in Math and Physics (cum laude) from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, and Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. He was a member of Nu Sigma Alpha local fraternity at Heidelberg. NO VISITATION. Memorial Service, Tuesday, March 13 at 4:00 pm at Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ, 7165 Big Creek Parkway, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130, with reception and remembrances following from 5-7 pm in the church social rooms.
