Andrew Albert Metro, 90, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. He was born August 6, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was raised and later graduated from Olmsted Township High School. In 1999, Andrew made his home in Seville, Ohio, where he enjoyed many years surrounded by the things he loved.

Andrew dedicated much of his working life to Glidden, which later became DeSantis and Excel Paints, where he served as a foreman. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a first-generation Navy SEAL, a distinction that reflected his dedication, courage, and commitment to serving others.

Beyond his work and military service, Andrew had a deep love for horses. He trained and showed horses through Morgan's Meadow Horse Farm and took great pride in the time he spent training and showing them. His love of horses was matched by his passion for motorcycles, cars, and hot rods. These interests brought him great enjoyment throughout his life and gave him countless memories to cherish.

Andrew will be remembered for the life he built, the passions he pursued, and the lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Scott Metro; his granddaughter, Morgan Metro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew J. Metro and Verna Metro; and his first wife, Judith (nee: Mountcastle) Metro.
