Karen E. Ludwig 85 of Cleveland, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday July13th, 2026 at her home in Grafton, Ohio surrounded by her loved ones.   She was a loving mother, friend and wife. Preceded in death by her husband Richard, "Dick" E. Ludwig. Married in 1960 they built a life centered on hard work, a deep love for one another and animals.  She always spoke of fond memories as early as age 12, the age her father taught her to fly their Piper Super Cub plane, landing in the quarry at Lakeside Marble-head to spend summers at the cottage. Racing cars with Dick, driving across the Mohave Desert and building a horse farm together. More recently driving across Route 66 to New Mexico, seeing the rocky mountains, the Oregon Trail and even doing a fall foliage RV trip to Maine for a lobster then camping right on the ocean.    Karen will be remembered for her quick humor, pranks and generous heart. She had a long, loving, fun, fulfilled life.   Her family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time and her presence will be deeply missed.
