Linda Nell Hunt

August 29, 1949 – September 23, 2026

Linda Nell Hunt (née Williams) was born to Charles and Mary Williams on August 29, 1949, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was the second of six children: Robert Williams, JoAnn Clay (née Williams), Dale Williams, Lawrence Williams, and Kenneth Williams. On June 20, 1970, Linda married Rev. Dr. Patrick Hunt. Their union was blessed with three children: Anthony Hunt, William Hunt, and Carla Thomas (née Hunt). Linda and Patrick also shared eight grandchildren: Ashley Hunt-Hart (Garrett), Jared Hunt, Nicklaus Ramsey, Cedric Hunt, Kamie Hunt, Leanna Hunt, Alaiha Thomas, and Cadale Thomas, and two great-grandchildren: Mayla Hunt and Liam Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary; her brother Robert; and her grandchild, Nicklaus Ramsey.

Linda was a devoted support to her husband as they founded and served churches in Chicago, Illinois; Davenport, Iowa; and Berea, Ohio. At Heritage Congregational Church of Berea, she faithfully participated in the Diaconate Board, Women of Heritage, kitchen committee, and greeting ministry. She was remembered for the grace and warmth she showed to members and visitors alike. At her former church, People's Community Church of Berea, she was especially involved in the Women's Prayer/Share ministry.

Linda was also active in the Ladies Kiwanis of Berea, volunteered at the Berea Children's Home, and worked as a teller at Strongsville Savings Bank and Fifth Third Bank. Her gracious way of serving customers became one of her hallmarks.

She found great joy in reading, studying, and meditating on Scripture.

The viewing for Linda Hunt will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Heritage Congregational Church, 485 West St., Berea, OH from 4 PM – 8 PM. Funeral Services will be at The United Methodist Church of Berea, 170 Seminary St., Berea Ohio on September 30 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Hts., OH.

The Linda Hunt family would ask that instead of giving flowers that a donation in Linda's name would be made to Heritage Congregational Church.
