Mary Ann Sosoka, 71, passed away on November 7, 2025.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Elsie Novak, and beloved aunt Ruth "Anniey" Novak;  she is survived by her loving husband (Donald, 69), children (Gregory, 39; Kathryn, 33), and grandchild (Quinn, 8).

A fifth grade teacher for exactly half a century (Corpus Christi Catholic School- Cleveland, & St. Mary Catholic School- Berea), Mary Ann was a resident of neighboring Olmsted Township and parishioner at St. Mary of the Falls (Olmsted Falls) since 1981.

An avid traveler, Mary Ann (and Don) visited 49 out of 50 states and enjoyed many trips abroad with close friends, creating dozens of scrapbooks along the way.. Anyone coming over to her house would expect the next holiday's decor to be on full display, and knew they would be treated to multiple baked goods with no shortage of her famous kolaczkis. Perhaps the most lasting of her hobbies will be her cross-stitching and needlepoints, which created hand-made Christmas stocking masterpieces and blankets which will be cherished forever by her loved ones.

A memorial visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 at from 9:30 AM to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Falls Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd., Brook Park, OH 44142. Celebration of Life for those interested to be held at Gunselman's Steakhouse and Bar (the old site of Mary Ann's favorite library) after internment..

Should friends desire, in lieu of family gifts, memorials may be made to Mike's Chance Animal Rescue (Dallas, TX), who gave Mary Ann's beloved dog Ollie a fighting second chance
