In Loving Memory of Annemarie Schwarz
Annemarie Schwarz (née Hutter) a beloved mother, devout Christian, and once dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 5, 2025 at the age of 83.
Annemarie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Klaus, her parents Frank and Pauline Hutter, in-laws George and Elizabeth Schwarz; siblings Hilda Rom (Rudolf) and Herbert Hutter (Joan living). She is survived by her sister Helen Mausser (Arnold deceased), brother Bernie Hutter (Linda); children John, Thomas, Michael, Marie Browning (Tom), Christie Huckleberry (Dan) and grandchildren Julianna, Madelyn and Jeremy Browning; Gabriella and Zachariah Huckleberry, Nicholas Weber (Sarah and their two children Miley and Mya) and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
Annemarie was born on January 11, 1942, in a German ethnic community, Gottschee, in Slovenia, but immigrated to the United States in 1952 with her family where she learned the values of kindness, empathy and hard work from her parents. She pursued her passion for nursing and worked as a registered nurse for a brief but impactful time, caring for patients with skill and tenderness. She also worked at an import export company prior to becoming a nurse.
Her life was a testament to faith, compassion, and a deep love for her family. Her greatest joy and accomplishment, however, was her role as a loving mother to her five children whom she raised on her own after Klaus passed away in 1985 after 17 years of marriage. Annemarie’s nurturing spirit and unwavering support guided her children through life's challenges, instilling in them the same values of faith and compassion she held dear. Annemarie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren who brought her so much joy.
Annemarie’s faith was central to her life. She had a profound devotion to Mother Mary and Jesus, finding solace and strength in prayer and attending church services regularly until she physically was unable to do so in person, then she would watch Mass televised. Her faith was a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her, and she shared her love for God with everyone she met.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Annemarie’s life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 250 Kraft St. Berea, Ohio 44017 on Saturday January 17 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call on Friday January 16 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Baker, Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Catholic Charities in her honor.
