Barbara “Barb” G. Buckwald (nee Raquet) loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother gained her angel wings on October 27, 2024, at the age of 83 peacefully at Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice.
Barb met her husband of over 50 years, Ralph J. Buckwald, while caring for her mother Sally and brother Bruce. They raised 3 children together: Kimberly Buckwald (Holtz), Martha Davis, and Ralph D. Buckwald. Together they had a successful family-run business before becoming a Registered Nurse.
Barb was a well-loved nurse throughout Cleveland. She also was a proud veteran having served in Desert Storm as a CPT in the Army Nurse Corps. She retired in service of others at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter Martha Davis, her 5 grandchildren: Amber Buckwald, Jonathan Kis, Amy Cooper (Matthew), Karissa Buckwald, Mark Davis II, and known as Grandma Bobo by her 7 great-grandchildren: Alexis Cooper, Jasper Davis, Olivia Cooper, Emily Cooper, Penelope Cooper, Sebastian Cooper and Mark Davis III.
Barb was preceded by her father G. Raquet, Mother Sally Raquet (Starzewski), brother Bruce Raquet, husband Ralph J. Buckwald, daughter Kimberly S. Holtz, son Ralph D. Buckwald.
Graveside service and celebration of life to commence in the spring.
