Betty Jean Sawyer Peterson born May 10,1940 passed away November 30, 2023 at the Alive Hospice Center in Nashville, TN.
Betty was a member of Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia Station and a volunteer at Meals on Wheels. She worked as an accountant at Seaway in Columbia before moving to Arizona. In Tucson she worked as comptroller at Westward Look Resort for many years. Her and her husband Fred then spent their retirement traveling in their RV to all 50 states, settling in Nashville, TN.
She is survived by daughters, Michelle Peterson, Tammy Boey, and Joni (Tim) French, brother William Sawyer; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Fred Lee Peterson, mother Willie Mae Sawyer RIce, step-father James Rice, sisters Barbara (Frank) Greenwood, Aileen (Carrol) Casteel and grandson Angelo Reale Boey.
Friends may call on Saturday December 9 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Baker, Osinski, Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea, Ohio 44017 with a graveside service to follow at the New Columbia Cemetery in Columbia Station, Ohio.
