“Mawmaw”

December 09, 1946 – September 20, 2025

Carol Jean Duckworth (née Flippen), lovingly known as “Mawmaw,” passed peacefully on September 20, 2025, surrounded by love. She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Lawrence Duckworth, and daughter, Lana Strichko.

She is survived by her daughters Lori Brinsey and Lesha Strichko (Mike) and will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Brandon Brinsey (Regan), Heather Strichko (CJ), and Zachary Strichko. Her legacy lives on through her great-grandson, Zane, who brought her immense joy in her final year.

Mawmaw lived a life full of devotion—to her family and her role as the heart of her home. Her warmth, strength, and unshakable kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.  We take peace in knowing that she is now flying high, reunited with the love of her life, and watching over us all.

Friends may call on Sunday September 28, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Baker Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea, Ohio 44017 where a funeral service will be held on Monday September 29 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio
