Donald (Don) Kokitka, born September 14, 1939, passed away surrounded by family and love on Wednesday August 13,2025
Donald was a devoted husband to Carol (Shepard) Kokitka, loving father to Ricky Kokitka, Stacy L. DeMonia, and cherished father-in-law to Billy DeMonia. He was the beloved brother of Gary Jerome Kokitka Sr., Michael (Kathy) Kokitka, Larry (Donna) Kokitka, David (Verna) Kokitka, Sharon (John) Hetzel, Donna (the late John) Husik, and the late Kenneth Kokitka. brother-in-law to Judy Shepard.
He is survived by his grandchildren Amanda and Ashley DeMonia, and his great-grandchildren Brinley and Brayden, all of whom he was so proud. He never missed the chance to cheer on his sons at their ball games and his daughters at cheerleading events, and that same pride carried into celebrating his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don built an impressive career with Ford Motor Company, where he rose to a respected leadership position. Outside of work, his true passions were family, friends, and the water. He loved boating, fishing, and spending weekends at Put-In-Bay. Days were spent on the water and nights filled with laughter and parties among loved ones. Donald was also a talented bowler, competing on championship teams with his brothers, and he often appeared in the local newspaper for their victories.
He will be remembered as a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and lived with joy. His warmth, sense of humor, and loyalty will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Baker, Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea, Ohio where friends may call from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
