Donald “Don” Morrison, 81 of Columbia Station, died on Saturday, January 15, 2022 surrounded by family at the Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice. He was born on February 12, 1940 in Sheffield, Alabama. His family moved to Ohio when he was in his teens and he was a graduate of Brunswick High School.
He married his true love, Linda on December 21, 1963. After serving in the United States Marine Corps he worked for the Navy’s Defense Finance and Accounting Service until his retirement. Don enjoyed woodworking, restoring classic cars, going to car cruises all over the country, attending Bible study at Columbia Baptist Church and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Linda Lou (nee Wilson) Morrison; sons, Donald Joseph Morrison of Columbia Station, James Thomas (Lisa) Morrison of Medina; grandchildren, James Noah, Benjamin Cole and Olivia Grace Morrison; his brother, Paul (Shirley) Morrison of Wooster; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Lemuel and Sally Pearl (nee Wesson) Morrison; brother Clyde Vernon Morrison; and sister Jessie Mae (nee Morrison) Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19th from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at the Baker-Osinski-Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front St, Berea, Ohio. The Reverend Phil Betts will officiate. We ask that all attendees please wear masks. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20th at the Royalton Road Cemetery in Columbia Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.
