Doris “Jean” Matolyak passed away peacefully on March 17, 2021 at the age of 82 after a long journey through Alzheimers. She was born in Johnstown, PA on April 14, 1938 to George and Mary Jacko also of Johnstown, PA. Jean worked a variety of jobs, most recently as an administrative assistant for Protection Mutual. She enjoyed traveling with Robert after he retired from Ford Motor Company. Her favorite places were Hawaii and Alaska. Her biggest joy were her 4 grandchildren. Jean is survived by her loving husband, Robert Anthony Matolyak; her children David (Anne) Matolyak; Jeanne Matolyak Kay; her grandchildren: Courtney and Lindsay Matolyak; Nicholas and Kristen Kay; her sister, Judith (Fred) Garbinski; nieces and nephews: Gary (Christy) Garbinski and Jodie (Rick) Liptak and great aunt to Connor and Tyler Liptak and Halle Garbinski. She is also survived by her Aunt Bettie (John- deceased) Krabal, cousins: Kathy (John) Akers and Nancy Cook, Ed (Maryann) Janosko as well as Robert’s siblings: Bill Matolyak of San Jose, CA; Virginia (Lou) Taylor of Bridgeton, NJ, Dr. John (deceased) and Helen Matolyak of Indiana, PA and MaryAnn Matolyak of Harrisburg, PA along with several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at Baker-Osinski-Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front Street, Berea, Ohio, 44017, on Sunday, March 21 from 2- 6 pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Mary’s Church, 250 Kraft Street, Berea, Ohio at 10:00 am on Monday (meet at church Monday Morning). Interment will be private at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, Ohio.
