Edith May Tappin (nee Galloway) age 88, wife of the late Bernard, married for 63 years. She was a resident of Brooklyn, Ohio for 69 years. Loving mother of Barbara Mikoch (Gary), grandmother of Dane Mikoch and Jolene Mikoch Kahn (Adam) and great grandmother of Walden Kahn. Sister of the late June Myers and William Galloway. Aunt to Lou Ann Medick, Mike Galloway and Linda Galloway Savage. She was born in Middleburg Heights on the family farm where she developed a strong work ethic that she carried her whole life. She enjoyed working in her yard that she was very proud of. She even mowed her own lawn until a couple of months ago. She and Bernie belonged to the Brooklyn Campers Club for many years and made many good friends. She also enjoyed working with and teaching ceramics. They loved to travel in their motor home. She was very proud of her grandchildren and was so excited to be a great grandmother to Wally. She thought he was the sweetest and smartest kid ever. Friends may call on Tuesday October 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m at the Baker, Osinski, Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 18 at 11:30. Interment will be at the Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights.
