ERNEST T ENOLD JR, age 91, passed away on September 3, 2024. “Ernie” was the dear father of Martha “Jenny” LeBrun (J. Andre), Edward R. Enold (Nicole) and Ernest “Ted” Enold (Kimberly), grandfather of Grace, Johnathen, Caleb, Elizabeth and Stephen, and was beloved family member and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Martha Rae Enold (Pase) and his brother, the late Dwight N Enold, as well as his parents, Lulu and Ernest T Enold II.
Ernie grew up in North Canton and attended Ohio State University and became a lifelong Buckeye. He was an educator; he started his teaching career at Midview High School where he met his wife “Marty” and married in 1965. He retired from the Berea School District in 1984; where he taught Biology at Midpark High School. After retiring from teaching, Ernie worked for Cuyahoga Community College in the Science lab and eventually began working for his favorite baseball team the Cleveland (Indians) Guardians as an usher where he drove the Ontario Street elevator. Ernie was a lifelong Scouter, where he inspired countless scouts to “do their best” and “be prepared”. Ernie attended numerous summer camps, National Jamborees and World Jamborees. Ernie was a 32° Mason with the Gibson Lodge #301 in Wakeman OH. Ernie’s other hobbies were reading, collecting cookie jars with his wife and his grandchildren.
Friends may call on Saturday September 14th from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the BAKER, OSINSKI, KENSINGER FUNERAL HOME 206 FRONT ST. BEREA where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Shiner’s Dyslexia program at Al Koran Shriners Hospital Fund, PO Box 81184, Cleveland OH 44181 in Ernest Enold's memory.
