Fredric Smith Obituary

FREDRIC “Fritz” HARRY SMITH of Berea, 86, beloved husband of
62 years to Patricia “Pat” Ann Smith (née Wagner), passed
peacefully 18 November to join her, after her recent passing 17
October. Born March 29, 1934 to Charles Melvin Smith and Ruth
Elsie Smith (née DeWerth) in Cleveland, Ohio. Fritz served in the US
Army from April 1955 to April 1957 as a Private First Class in
Company-D, 41st Engineering Battalion, stationed in Kitzengen,
Germany. Step-Father of Harvey “John” (Nana) Brown, James
“Jim” (Wanda) Brown, and Father of Randy Smith, Cindy (Jim)
Rossborough, and Scott (Barbara) Smith.
Grandfather of Shelley Indoe, Jason Brown, Melissa Brown, Yurika
(Tatsuya) Hasegawa, Shawn (Stacy) Brown, Ryugo (Akiko) Higa,
Jesse Brown, Kyle (Sarah) Goins, Seiya Higa, Aaron (Allie)
Rossborough, Kodi (Krista) Goins, Austin Rossborough, Scott
Smith, Alec Rossborough, Mason Smith.
Great Grandpa to James, Cory, Chad and Emily Indoe; Max, Julia
and Mason Brown; Eleanor, Flynn and Mabel Rossborough; Koko,
Niko, Hakuya and Souya Hasegawa; Hinata and Yuhi Higa;
Kennedy and Kallie Goins; and Kolby Goins.
Great Great Grandpa to Haley and Lily Indoe; and Liam Indoe.
Fritz is was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Virginia,
Melvin, Byrdie, Mae Marie, Richard, Julia, Ada, Beatrice and
Franklin.
Fritz was devoted to Pat, leaving her love notes every morning
when leaving for work. He was generous and warm-hearted, a
friendly and loving brother, husband, father, grandfather, neighbor
and friend. He was widely known for his career in home building
and remodeling, and his work can be found in many homes
throughout Berea and surrounding communities, and ever our
provider, shepherding some of us into the trade. Fritz and Pat loved
Berea deeply, since moving here in 1959.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Fritz and Pat at a future date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Of The
Western Reserve Hospice WR.org/tribute or the PO Box -- PO Box 72101, Cleveland OH 44192. in appreciation for their care; or to
the Berea Community Outreach Pantry, (440) 826-4891, to aid those
in need.
