Gustav “Gus” Edmund Schulz, age 83, of Olmsted Township passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, January 23, 2026. He was born on August 14,1942 in Germany. Gus is survived by his wife Janet Schulz (nee Henderson); son Steven (June) Schulz of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Jacob, Eyan, and Kailey. Also surviving are his brother-in-laws Jack, Carl and Don and sister-in- laws Carol, Marilyn, Brenda S. and Brenda L. He was preceded in death by his parents Gustav and Augusta Schulz, his brother Edmund Schulz and brother-in-law Gene Henderson. Gus served in the United States Army and spent his career working in carpentry. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation and prayer service will be held on Thursday, January 29 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Baker Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front Street, Berea, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. following calling hours. Internment will be directly following the prayer services at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 7789 Lewis Road, Olmsted Falls. The family invites all who knew Gus to gather for lunch immediately following the services at Gateway Church 12109 S. Reed Road, Grafton.
