Harry Lee Harris was born December 16, 1947 to the late James W. and Vernice Harris (Harris). He was the youngest of five children and was preceded in death by his oldest brother James W. Harris, Jr. At an early age Harry was baptized into the Baptist faith. He graduated from Berea High School and was drafted into the United States Army and served in Vietnam where he became Crew Chief, door gunner. After being honorably discharges from the Army he attended Cuyahoga Community College and worked for several companies including Drenik Distributors, Dairy Pak, Ford Motor Company and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Harry retired from GCRTA after many years of service. Harry became a Prince Hall Master Mason which he served for several years. He loved having luncheons with his Veteran friends, fishing, listening to Jazz, Gospel music and playing video games with his X-Box buddies. Harry departed this life March 26, 2021. Celebrating his memory and life are his beloved wife of 45 years, Joanne (Rollings), his sons Jonathan (Strongsville, Ohio) and Brandon (Parma, Ohio), three sisters Verlaine Anderson (Highland Hills, Ohio), Gladys Anderson (Albert) (Warrensville Hts., Ohio) Vernice D. Hampton (Berea, Ohio) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Baker, Osinski, Kensinger Funeral Home 206 Front St. Berea, where friends may call 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at the Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
