Helmut Prill

Helmut (“Hal”) Prill, 68, of Berea, OH, passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2022. Born July 17, 1953 at home in Cleveland, Ohio to Albert and Walli (Tomm) Prill (both deceased). Beloved husband of Elizabeth Prill (Supple), cherished father of Kelsey Toulouse (Rich) and Jared Prill (Kristan), and adored Papa of Jaeger, Aislyn, Hailey and Silas. Hal is survived by them, and his three siblings, Ingrid Hawley (John), Alvin Prill (Linda) and Karin Gosnell (Ron), his step-mother Patricia Prill of Green Valley, AZ, and lots of heartbroken uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Hal graduated from Brunswick High School in 1971, and enlisted in the US Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1977, and returned home to northeast Ohio, where he married and began a life-long career as a highly-skilled mechanic in various disciplines. Hal retired from Stein, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. To stay active, Hal worked in the Safety and Security department at Baldwin Wallace University.  Hal will be remembered for his faith in God and Jesus Christ, his integrity, his love and devotion to his family and friends. He loved to read, fish and spend time with his grandkids. He could fix anything, and he gladly gave of his time and talents to others in their time of need.  Calling hours will be held Friday April 1, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Baker, Osinski, Kensinger Funeral Home, 206 Front St., Berea, Ohio. The funeral will be Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Berea Baptist Church, 250 West St., Berea, Ohio, with graveside service with Military Honors at Sunset Memorial Park.
