Jack L. Heideloff
died peacefully at home in Olmsted Falls on October 10th. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Frances (nee Haist).
Jack is survived by his loving children: Beverly (Bob) Hanchette, David (Jan) Heideloff and Sherri (Don, deceased) Robertson. Devoted grandfather of Megan (Jeff) Menger, Gretchen Heideloff and April Heideloff. Joyful great-grandfather of Grace and Joe Menger.
Jack is also preceded in death by his loving parents Gladys and Lester Heideloff, his loyal brother George (Shirley) Heideloff and their dear son Jackie.
Jack met his wife Fran in 1946 and they began going steady the following year. They were best pals for 75 years until her death in 2022. They had fun driving to Rhodes High School in Jack’s 1931 Model A with a rumble seat.
He enjoyed playing baseball in the Cleveland Sandlots for eight years. He still had vivid memories of those days and would often share stories about the exciting games and his talented teammates.
Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. He and Fran were stationed at Fort Hood.
Jack was a CPA and after his retirement from HWH Architects, he created a spectacular backyard garden. He was still tending his garden until just a few months before he died at the age of 94 from complications of heart failure. Jack will forever be in our hearts.
