James Steele Donahue left us peacefully on November 10, 2025 at the age of 69. He was the belovedbrother of Jean (Donahue) Lorenz, Bob Donahue (Linda), and Bill Donahue (Nancy) He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Lee (Whitright) Donahue and Robert Daniel Donahue, his brother Bob Donahue and Bob's wife Linda. He was a loving uncle to Bill Lorenz, Beth (Lorenz) Schmauder (Chris), Brian Donahue (Cally), and Katie (Donahue) Wahl (Zach) and great uncle to Jonathan, Emma, Shepherd, McKinley, Nellie, Lincoln, Ezlyn and Rhodes. James was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a graduate of Midpark High School, attended culinary school and worked in the hospitality industry for years. He loved cooking, all things Irish, reading, and never met a cat he did not like. He had a gentle nature, a sense of humor, a good soul, and loved his family.  To honor his memory, hug your loved ones and recommend one of your favorite books to your friends. Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 1 p.m.in the parlor at the Berea United Methodist Church, 170 Seminary Street, Berea, Ohio 44017 and is open to all family and friends. Memorial Service will be Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at the Berea United Methodist Church, 170 Seminary Street, Berea, Ohio 44017 and is open to all family and friends. Interment will be Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 and is open to all family and friends.
