Jane A. Marting-Rohfeld-Miller
January 23, 1942 – November 30, 2025
With deep love and heavy hearts, we share that Jane A. Marting-Rohfeld-Miller entered Heaven’s gates on November 30, 2025. Born on January 23, 1942, Jane was the cherished daughter of the late Carl A. Marting and Norma J. Marting (nee Christensen). Her life was one shaped by devotion to family, community, friendship, and kindness in its purest form.
Jane was a devoted mother to James, William, Dennis, and Joel (wife Karan). She was a loving sister to Gerrie Marting-Berena, Henry Marting, and the late Mary Marting-Pitzer. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Rachel (husband Bobby), Norm (wife Rachel), Tony, Jay, Jaden, Janie, Paige, and Camden—and her great-grandchildren—Shelby, Anthony, Bella, Ethan, Nola, and Liam— Aunt to Katie (husband Dave), Laurie and Leslie. Great-Aunt to Jamie, Devyn, Natalie and Laura; all of whom brought endless joy to her life.
A proud graduate of Berea High School, Class of 1960, Jane remained deeply connected to her alma mater. She was the heart of many alumni gatherings, always working to keep lifelong friends united, no matter the distance.
Jane lived a life of service, community spirit and love for country. She was an active member of Berea Methodist Church, the American Legion Post 91, the Berea Garden Club, Save Old Berea, and numerous other organizations that reflected her passion for helping others and protecting the community she loved.
Resourceful and talented, Jane dedicated herself wholeheartedly to providing for her family. She cherished nature and found great peace at her lake cottage, where she delighted in walking the shores in search of “lucky stones.” Those lucky enough to know her would say that Jane herself was the true good-luck treasure to all who crossed her path.
Her home was always open—a place of warmth, a hot meal, gentle conversation, and unconditional compassion. Jane had a gift for loving both people and animals with grace and sincerity. She lifted spirits, offered comfort, and created a sense of belonging wherever she went.
Jane’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and steadfast faith. She leaves behind a family and community forever thankful for the time, wisdom, and affection she so selflessly gave.
She will be deeply missed, eternally cherished, and lovingly remembered.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
