LAURA S. JOHNSON, Age 94, (nee Scott), of Berea, Ohio, was born September 13, 1929, in Calhoun, Georgia, and passed away September 1, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Mack A. Johnson, loving mother of Deborah D. West (James, dec.), Darryl M. Johnson (Marites), Eric D. Johnson (Naome), Viola C. Johnson (dec.), Lyndon B. Johnson (Sharon), Wesley T. Johnson (Debora); dear grandmother of James H. West, III (Elizabeth), Laura V. West, Autumn N. Norvell (Brian), Mack A. West (Julie), Paris U. Johnson, Elijah T. Johnson, Elisha S. Johnson, Eric D. Johnson Jr., Chenahmae S. Johnson, Anthony M. Johnson (Crystal), Andrew M. Johnson, Aaron M. Johnson (Courtney), Melissa C. Johnson, Jewel M. Johnson, Wesley T. Johnson, Jr.; great grandmother of 12; great-great grandmother of 6; preceded in death by one daughter, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Laura was a longtime member of the Berea Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was baptized in 1954. Laura loved the preaching and teaching work, and was known for her remarkable success in phone witnessing. Well respected in the Berea community, Laura was known for her generosity and kindness. Laura will be remembered for her love and faith in her God Jehovah, and her trust in Jehovah’s Son, Jesus Christ. Laura will patiently wait for the fulfillment of John 5:28,29 when all the memorial tombs will open during the resurrection of mankind here on the earth.
