Laverne T. Rackel

Laverne T. Rackel, age 96, died, October 24, 2021, at Symphony at Olmstead Falls, following a period of declining health and life well lived.

She was born on June 24th, 1925, in Cleveland, to the late Frederick and Nora (Moran) Burger.

She married Vincent Rackel Sr. on June 28th, 1947.

Laverne spent most of her life being an amazing wife and mother. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles, reading, and watching her beloved Cleveland Indians.

She is survived by her five children, Janet Komisarz, Noreen Willard, Valerie Mizway, Laura Stiffler, and Lawrence Rackel; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Laverne is preceded in death by her siblings, and son, Vincent Rackel Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at Symphony at Olmstead Falls and at Cypress Hospice for the amazing care that was given to Laverne during her stay.

The family has requested that the services for Laverne be private.
