LOUISE H. ALLEN, age 85, (nee Hannig) beloved wife of David for 55 years, daughter of the late Martha (nee Scheiffulbein) and Emil Hannig, daughter-in-law of the late Marian and Larry Allen, sister-in-law of the late Nancy Lou Berr (husband Richard Lee Berr), aunt of Keith Berr (partner Linda Barberic), Stuart S. Berr (Dyan Aretakis-deceased), and Stacey Ailes (James), great aunt of Alex, Lydia, and Zoe Berr, James Ailes (Sarah), Joy Ailes, and Hannah Searles (Rhys), great great aunt of Rhys II, Owen, and Concetta. Loving Aunt of Linda (Gorton) King, and Michael King, Fred Gorton and Sandy Thomas, great aunt of Michael and Cindy King, Kimberly and Jeff Hoover and Katie Kucera. Louise was a 44-year member and past president of the Berea Historical Society. During those years she served as a curator of Mahler Museum and History Center, editor of the Society’s news letter, The Enterprise, and was chairman of the annual 4th of July Ice Cream Social. She was also past president of the Berea Collectors Club and founding member of the Berea Historical Doll Club, as well as a member of the Lake Erie Doll Club. She was an avid sewer of doll clothing. She was also a member of the Campbell Soup Collectors Club. Louise was a faithful member of the Alter Guild of St. John’s Lutheran Church for many years. For her outstanding service to the community she was inducted into the Berea Schools Alumni Hall of Fame. She also received a proclamation from the city of Berea for her many activities in the city that she so dearly loved. Funeral Service, Tuesday, April 6 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 8888 Prospect Road, Strongsville, Ohio, 44136 where friends may call Tuesday, Morning 10 until 11:00 (time of service).
