Marilyn H. (Hughes) Miller

MARILYN  H.  MILLER, age 91, (nee Hughes), beloved wife of the late Robert P., loving mother of Gregory H. Miller, and David J. Miller (Beth), dear grandmother of Charles R. and Nathan H. Miller, sister of the late William D. Hughes. 

Originally from East Liverpool, Ohio, Marilyn attended Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1954.  While at BW she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and performed with the Aqualene Synchronized Swimming Team. Following marriage in 1958, she returned to Berea in 1965 and resided there the rest of her life.  She was an “Avon Lady” for many years, but her main calling was being the Best Mom Ever and making a loving home for her family. 

Marilyn was a past President of the Berea Historical Society, an active member of the BW Theater Women’s Committee, and Collectors’ Club.  She was a dedicated participant in senior yoga and fitness classes at the Berea and Middleburg Heights Recreation Centers.  She also enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, and sharing meals with her many dear friends at the Polaris Vocational Center Restaurant and other restaurants around town.  As an active grandma, she deeply loved and was immensely proud of her two grandsons. 

Marilyn unfailingly exemplified that God is Love and steadfastly maintained a positive outlook, finding the good in everything and everyone.

Memorial Service, Saturday, March 11 at 3:30 pm at BAKER-OSINSKI-KENSINGER FUNERAL HOME, 206 FRONT STREET, BEREA, OHIO, 44017, where friends may call Saturday from 2:00-3:30 pm (time of service). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Church of Christ, Scientist 1460 Wagar Rd. Rocky River, OH 44116 or the Berea Historical Society 118 E. Bridge St. Berea, OH 44017.
