NANCY McARTHUR, beloved children’s book author, died July 15 at the Renaissance Health Center. The cause was Parkinsons. Nancy grew up in Olmsted Falls and Berea. She graduated with honors from Hathaway Brown School and attended Baldwin Wallace where she was the editor of The Exponent. Her dream of becoming a writer was realized with the publication of several children’s books including the popular series The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks. She visited schools encouraging young people to read. Daughter of the late Russell and Irene. Sister of John and Richard (both deceased). Aunt to Chad (deceased). She is survived by her sister Susan, sister-in-law Barbara, nephew Michael (L’anne), Chad’s wife Dana, and three great nephews Daniel, Timothy and Ben. The burial was private. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.
