Patricia A. (Wagner) Smith

PATRICIA “Pat” ANN SMITH (née Wagner) of Berea, 84, beloved wife of 62 years to Fredric “Fritz”, passed peacefully  October 17 after a long struggle with Dementia. Born June 1936 to Roy Raymond Wagner and Alma May (née Kelley) in Saginaw, Michigan. Mother of Harvey “John” (Nana) Brown, James “Jim” (Wanda) Brown, Randy Smith, Cindy (Jim) Rossborough, and Scott (Barbara) Smith. Grandmother of Shelley Indoe, Jason Brown, Melissa Brown, Yurika (Tatsuya) Hasegawa, Shawn (Stacy) Brown, Ryugo (Akiko) Higa, Jesse Brown, Seiya Higa, Kyle (Sara) Goins, Aaron (Allie) Rossborough, Kodi (Krysta) Goins, Austin Rossborough, Scott Smith, Alec Rossborough, Mason Smith. Great Grandma to James, Cory, Chad and Emily Indoe; Max, Julia and Mason Brown; Eleanor, Flynn and Mabel Rossborough, Koko, Niko, Hakuya and Souya Hasegawa; Hinata and Yuhi Higa; Kennedy and Kallie Goins; and Kolby Goins. Great Great Grandma to Haley and Lily Indoe; and Liam Indoe. Pat is survived by her sisters Dorothy Bishop and Joan Smith, and was predeceased by her parents and brother Donald Wagner. Pat was an extraordinarily kind, friendly and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. Far beyond her own children and grandchildren, she was Mom and Grandma to legions of her kids’ school and work friends, and ever our counselor. She loved Berea deeply, since moving here in 1959. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
