Robert Allan Raak

Robert Allan Raak, beloved father, grandfather "Wowo", brother and uncle, passed away in his Olmsted Township, Ohio home on January 2,  2020. Robert was a selfless, generous, quiet, caring man of great faith who loved his family and was adored and loved in return. Born on December 14, 1948 and raised in Michigan. He worked in the tool and die industry and also in substance abuse recovery until he went on to school to become a truck driver and started a family. He worked dispatch for many years until retiring to Ohio in 2016 to spend the rest of his years surrounded by his family and grandchildren, who were his world. A proud Vietnam Veteran and movie buff, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter Megan Loomis (Raak) and son Dylan Raak, son in law William Loomis Jr, grandchildren Ava and William Loomis and his extended Raak family. Private family services to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, which Robert was a member of or your veteran charity of choice in Robert's memory. May his soul rest for all eternity in paradise.
