Ronald W. Rice passed away on Friday September 12, 2025, peacefully at his home, with his family at his side. He was born December 9, 1935, in Johnstown Pa., to William O. and Rose E. (nee Kleinmeyer) Rice. He is survived by his only sister Carole A. Tomallo (Jim).

He was a beloved husband of 66 years to Shirley (nee Shaffer),  loving father of John (Jill), Matt (Tammy), James (Joanne), Michael (Halle).

Proud Pap Pap to Jason Rice (Molly), Matt Dietes (Chelsea) Brandon (Rikki), Jacob, Alley (Aaron), Joshua, Ashley (Michael), Justin, Ashton, Addison, Braxton, Owen, Zoey, and Paige.

Ron had a lifelong career as a truck driver, cement finisher, equipment operator, and business owner.

He was a faithful servant of the Catholic Church, showing his devotion for years as an usher, adult alter server, Eucharist minister to the sick, and a Third Degree Knight of Columbus. He loved God and attended daily Mass often.

He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Ron will always be remembered for his work ethic, willingness to help anyone, and his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Falls Church 25615 Bagley Rd. Olmsted Falls, Ohio 44138.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Borromeo Seminary, 28700 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe Ohio 44092
