Shirley Ann (Barnum) Moon

Lifelong Berea resident, Shirley (Barnum) Moon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Shirley
leaves behind her children Rececca, Christopher (Sandy), Claudia (Charles), Bridget and Adam
(Shirley). Grandchildren Nicole, Samantha, April, David, Elizabeth, Brenton, Ashley, Zachary,
Abigale and Nicholas.Great grandchildren Emma, Kayla, Caden, Carter, Kennedy, Jacob,Wyatt,
Arianna and Gabriel. Shirley was an active member in many clubs in Berea. Such as the Berea
Collectors Club, Fine Arts Committee, Little Red School House preservation and of course
Berea Summer Theater. Anyone who knew Shirley knew her love of the spotlight and the many
performances she had. In such plays as Our Town, Bell Book and Candle, The little foxes and
The Glass Menagerie just to name a few. Shirley also had a love for old and Vintage treasures
and had many wonderful Antique shops. Her favorite was the one she had right downtown
Berea. Where not only did friends come to shop but also a social gathering place for old and
new friends to gather. Shirley always had time and compassion to help out whoever needed it.
For a few years she was a volunteer in the Strongsville Hospice Center. She leaves behind
many friends who will dearly miss her love and laughter and afternoon tea’s and adventures. As
the children of Shirley Moon we will forever miss the laughter and sunshine she brought to all of
us. We were all so fortunate to call her mom.
