Susan M. (Stout) Kraus

Susan M. Kraus (nee Stout), age 67 of Olmsted Township passed away peacefully Friday July 3, 2026.  She was born on October 29,1958 to Max and Jeanne Stout (both deceased) in Columbus, Ohio.  She was the beloved wife of Mark Kraus for 29 years.  Sue was the loving mother of four children:  Michael Mental, Jr (Jess), Addie Emerine (Cory), Meghan Spriggs (Michael), and Bridget Turk (Shawn).  She was also stepmother to Taylor Kraus (Katie) and Jordan Kraus (Katy).  Sue was the grandmother of seven grandchildren:  Brody, Blake, Bryson, Teagan, Johnathon, Layton, and Wyatt.  Sue also had four step grandchildren:  Jackson, Mackenzie, Olivia, and Cooper.  Sue worked in the Special Education field as an administrator and teacher for over 40 years.  She was always dedicated to her students as well as her family members.  She loved cooking and preparing large meals for friends, family and others.  She was the first to offer herself to others for assistance and/or support.  Susan enjoyed working in the garden and harvesting vegetables.  Many knew her for her "famous" homemade pickles.  Sue enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and she loved her many dogs throughout her life.  The family will receive visitors Friday July 17 at 11:00 a.m.  A memorial service will follow at noon.
