Theodore Samuel Troutner

Theodore Samuel Troutner, age 92, passed peacefully on April 8, 2026. He was a loving father to his son, James and daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Zeitz. He was preceded in death by his precious wife, Ann, in 1976, and his second wife, Helen, in 2014, as well as his parents, Charles and Clara (nee Forester), and his siblings, Thomas “Bud”, Twila, Eva “Abo”, Dorothy “Dot”, Dolores, and Jim. He is mourned by nieces and nephews, especially Al “Brud” and Joyce Croyle and Susan and Jim Faulx, grandson, Nick and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Andrejas, and Aleks and step-daughter-in-law, Jacqui and grandchildren, Michael and Alexandra. He is also mourned by his dear friend, Karen (Steve) Malinoski and her family.

Ted was born in Worthington, Pennsylvania, but lived in the Cleveland area for most of his life. He was a proud Army veteran, having served as a staff sergeant in Japan and Okinawa during the Korean War. After working at the Chevy plant for 30 years, he retired from General Motors in 1991 and moved to Las Vegas for a few years before returning home. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
