Thomas Malone Obituary

THOMAS  LENOX  MALONE, age 84, beloved husband of the late Sandra L. (nee Shaw), loving father of Jennifer L. Heinle (Christopher), and Colleen L. Garibotti (Dino), dear grandfather of Daniel Chiodo, Michael Chido (Katherine), Justin and Brandon Garibotti, brother of Bruce Malone (Marilyn). Funeral Service and Burial Private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund in Berea, Ohio. Tom was born and raised in Piqua, Ohio where he met and married his high school sweetheart.  He was a Piqua High School and Defiance College football player.  After college he and his wife moved to Berea, Ohio where they raised their two daughters.  Tom was a history teacher, then vice principal, at Valley Forge High School in Parma, Ohio.  He loved Chevrolet Corvairs, and was known for his ever-changing collection of cars. He was a member, then president of Vacationland Corvair Club.  He had many other hobbies including: enjoying nature, road trips, fishing, gun collecting, and walking his dogs.  He had 3 beloved dogs throughout his adult life: Woody, Euro & April.  He could draw, paint, and enjoyed making models. He loved tattoos, and filled his arms with meaningful art.  He enjoyed food and camaraderie at local restaurants, and was a regular at: Nemo Grille in Avon, Mike’s Bar & Grill in Berea, Jennifer’s, and Goldie’s in Strongsville.  He had many treasured long-time friends.  He could be tough on the outside, but was sweet and kind-hearted on the inside.  His family and friends will miss his straight-forward humor, his quick wit, his handsome smile, and his genuine love for all who knew him.
