Ursula M. Lester, (81)
June 17, 1944-May 25, 2026
Ursula M. Lester, born on 6/17/1944, in Manheim, Germany, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to her family, and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys.
Ursula was born to Walter H. Large and Lucy M. Large (Walz), both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in Germany, where she attended beauty school and earned her cosmetology license. After marrying, she moved to the United States and devoted herself to raising a family. During those years, she operated a beauty salon from her home, allowing her to care for her children while continuing the profession she loved.
Later, after settling in Berea, Ohio, Ursula began a career with Ford Motor Company, where she worked faithfully while caring for her 4 children until she retired. Her strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout her life.
Outside of work, Ursula found her greatest happiness spending time with her family and in her garden. She had a special gift for cultivating beautiful flowers and creating a peaceful outdoor sanctuary. She cherished spending warm days tending to her garden and relaxing in her pool on a raft accompanied by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her 2 beloved dogs who were truly like her children.
Ursula is survived by her twin sister, Brigette (Jerry) Lamrouex; her sister, Marlene Eiermann (Lenny); and her four children, Simone Lester (Gary); Derek Lester (Heidi); Neil Lester (Eve) and Nicole Ulman (Jim). She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and numerous family members and friends who will cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
Ursula’s kindness, strength, and love for her family, animals, and garden will never be forgotten. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
