Warren married Janet on August 11, 1956. They moved to Middleburg Hts. in 1965 when he accepted a job at the Ceilcote Company as a professional engineer. Working for Ceilcote, Warren invented the Ionizing Wet Scrubber which is still manufactured and sold today to reduce air pollution from industrial smoke stacks in the chemical processing industry. His work in air pollution control twice earned the John C. Vaaler Award for development of a unique air pollution control device and improved the health of people around the globe.
Warren enjoyed his Middleburg Hts. home with Janet for 60 years. He made many friends in the area, participated in a monthly book club and a discussion group which hosted a diverse assortment of guest speakers. He helped his children renovate their homes and built unique and ingenious toys for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Always quick with a smile he enjoyed nothing more than the company of family, working in the yard, and puttering in his workshop.
