WILLIAM W. MILLER, JR., age 94, veteran in the Army/Air Force, the last remaining member and jazz pianist of the Berea dixie-land band The Front Street Five. Bill loved Music, Art, Geography, History, Archeology, Shakespeare, Poetry, the Outer Banks and Children. Bill was a proud graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College where he was an Alpha Sigma Phi and met his life-long best friends Al Swanson and the rest of the Berea Gang! Bill earned his Master’s at Kent State and enjoyed his life-calling as teacher of 7th grade Social Studies at North Olmsted JH. He loved nature and hiked every inch of the MetroParks and the Cuyahoga Valley and instilled that love in his children and grandchildren. Bill knew a song about everything and sang daily. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Pease); loving father of Lorraine Hanson (Dean), and Jay Miller (Laura), and Second Father to niece Patti Pease Bell; dear grandfather of Keith Hanson (Laura), Christopher Hanson (Corrie), Julie Hanson, Jacob Miller (Cassie), Grace Miller, and Faith Miller; great-grandfather of Lucas Hanson, Lea Hanson, Wilder Hurricane Hanson, and Maya Gale Hanson; brother of Kenneth Miller, and the late Marjorie Milhouse. Memorial Service, Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Berea, 170 Seminary Street, Berea, Ohio, 44017, where fellowship will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Berea.
